Being a cybersecurity leader is a blessing for me and my family. I'm thankful and have a focus on giving back to the community.

Coaching and Mentoring
Hosts calls on Fridays with college students, veterans, individual contributors and leaders. We learn from each other. In some cases a few conversations establish a long-standing relationship.

Presents at conferences, chapter meetings, universities and corporate/government events. Each session provides practical advice in the areas of cybersecurity and operational risk management. The goal is to provide attendees with information they can use upon return to work. Has conducted 50+ presentations since 2019.

Professional Development Resources

Security Resources and Advisories
Posts security resources and advisory links to LinkedIn and X/Twitter about once a day. 6,000+ posts to X/Twitter since 2009.

Public Policy
Provides detailed recommendations on federal cybersecurity policy drafts and requests for information. The goals are to provide guidance so: (1) Government cybersecurity strategies are effective and (2) Policy mandates do not place undue strain or burden on US companies.

Honors & Awards
Veteran of the United States Air Force, a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy and a recipient of the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional award. Have completed the Bataan Memorial Death March (4 occurrences). Have also received the President’s Volunteer Service Award (Gold).
