1. Listen to Live Music at Gruene Hall!
Gruene Hall was built in 1878. It's is Texas’ oldest continually operating and most famous dance hall. Not much has physically changed since the Hall was first built. The 6,000 square foot dance hall with a high pitched tin roof with side flaps for open air dancing, a bar in the front and a small lighted stage in the back. When in rome!

The Gristmill is one of my favorite restaurants in New Braunfels. Whether you have Texas torpedoes, bacon wrapped filet or ahi tuna, the food is fantastic. I love eating outside in the trees by the river.

I go to Clear Springs to relax. My favorite place to sit is the crows nest with a view of the first floor. Their onion rings are amazing. Order the small size. It's plenty for two people. The 'Texas' size is massive. I'm a big fan of their grilled catfish. What's not to like?!!!

Thai Racha is a great place to get takeout. I start with Chicken Satay. It comes with peanut sauce. The spring rolls are a great appetizer too. The Gang Dang (Red Curry) Chicken is my go-to entre. The portions are generous. I order extra chicken and rice and save half of the entre for lunch the next day.

7. Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers [Fast Food, Chicken Wings]
I get takeout from Cane's at least once a week. They make the best chicken fingers. The chicken is high-grade and the portions are generous. I have a big appetite and typically stop at six chicken fingers. Cane's is known for their sauce which is a special blend of spices. When friends visit from out of state, I always expose them to the Cane's madness!
