Bataan Memorial Death March

Bataan Memorial Death March

The Bataan Memorial Death March is a challenging march through the high desert terrain of White Sands Missile Range, conducted in honor of the heroic service members who defended the Philippine Islands during World War II, sacrificing their freedom, health and, in many cases, their very lives.*

In Gratitude

Thanks to the Bataan Death March Veterans for their service to our country. Their courage and sacrifice will not be forgotten. Thanks to the U.S. Army and the White Sands Missile Range for hosting the March. Thanks to the U.S. Border Guards for watching over us. Thanks to the 1,200 volunteers and medical personnel who cared for us and cheered us on in the hot desert sun. Thanks to my wife Mary for joining me on this marathon through the desert. Thanks to anyone I missed.
